Ice Ice Baby Challenge 2022
After the success of the Ice Ice Baby Challenge 2021 (IIBC2021), a new challenge was set up in the coldest weeks of 2022, with the same starting points: for 28 days, at least 3 minutes every day in the cold North Sea water. This time the goal was a professional Livestream installation for the Haagse Rugby Club to record and broadcast the matches. By then, we were still living in times of Corona, which made it impossible to play rugby matches and training sessions with the public present. In this way, the parents could still watch the games from home. Unfortunately, the total amount of the IIBC2021 was not reached. But still, the North Seak Vikings raised a total of 3,394 euros. The installation turned out to be a bridge too far, but rugby also stands for fun after the games. So, the club proposed using donations instead of picnic tables for the terrace. The North Sea Vikings were proud to see them in good use during the plenty of BBQs organized by the club ever since set in place.

Na het succes van de Ice Ice Baby Challenge 2021 (IIBC2021) werd in de koudste weken van 2022 een nieuwe challenge opgezet met dezelfde uitgangspunten: 28 dagen lang elke dag minimaal 3 minuten in het koude Noordzeewater. Dit keer was het doel een professionele Livestream installatie voor de Haagse Rugby Club om de wedstrijden op te nemen en uit te zenden. We leefden toen nog in tijden van Corona waardoor het onmogelijk was om rugbywedstrijden en trainingen met aanwezig publiek te spelen. Zo konden de ouders toch vanuit huis naar de wedstrijden kijken. Helaas is het totale bedrag van de IIBC2021 niet bereikt. Maar toch brachten de North Seak Vikings in totaal 3.394 euro op. De installatie bleek een brug te ver, maar rugby staat ook voor gezelligheid na de wedstrijden. Dus de club stelde voor om donaties te gebruiken in plaats van picknicktafels voor het terras. De North Sea Vikings waren er trots op dat ze goed gebruikt werden tijdens de vele barbecues die de club sindsdien heeft georganiseerd.
