Ice Ice Baby Challenge 2026

The Ice Ice Baby Challenge 2026 (IICB2026) is donating all funds raised to the PAIS Alliance Foundation. The North Sea Vikings launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, making this year's donation extra special. The PAIS Alliance is committed to increased understanding, better care, and more research into long-term symptoms after an infection. Together, we work on early recognition, appropriate care, and greater scientific insight. PAIS stands for post-acute infection syndromes.
This is a collective term for long-term symptoms that develop after an infection. Well-known examples include: long-term COVID (post-COVID), ME/CFS, Q fever fatigue syndrome (QVS), chronic Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses, post-sepsis syndrome (PSS), and post-Legionella syndrome (PLS).

As PAIS Alliantie has shared their bank account directly, all donations made to IICB2026 will go straight to PAIS. On the final day of the challenge, we will announce the total amount donated. De North Sea Vikings zijn gestart tijdens de COVID-periode, wat deze donatie dit jaar extra bijzonder maakt. De PAIS Alliantie zet zich in voor meer begrip, betere zorg en meer onderzoek naar langdurige klachten na een infectie. Samen werken we aan tijdige herkenning, passende zorg en meer wetenschappelijk inzicht. PAIS staat voor post-acute infectiesyndromen.
Dat is een verzamelnaam voor langdurige klachten die ontstaan na een infectie. Bekende voorbeelden zijn: long covid (post-covid), ME/CVS, Q-koortsvermoeidheidssyndroom (QVS), de chronische ziekte van Lyme en andere tekenbeetziekten, post-sepsis-syndroom (PSS) en post-legionella-syndroom (PLS).

Omdat de PAIS Alliantie haar bankrekening direct beschikbaar heeft gesteld, gaan alle donaties aan IICB2026 rechtstreeks naar PAIS.
